Running Accomplishments:

High school (in San Diego) I ran a 16:40 5k and a 4:33 mile.  Have run 11 marathons.

PR - Ogden 2009 - 2:55:10

Haven't done a 5k or 10k or half in a long time.  I just enjoy doing my regular daily runs and then hittin' the Marathons.  I might slip in some shorter/faster races this year.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Drop some more weight (get down to 150),  keep Pr'ing, and try to stay injury free.  Get a 2:46:42 or better in a marathon - I wanna beat Lance's PR!!

Get out on more trails around the valley and enjoy the scenery.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Focus on marathons and possibly ultras? Keep healthy and lean.

Personal:

Married with 2.95 girls.

10 Miles on trail.  6:56/mile.  Felt really fresh and needing to go a little faster today.  Ran with lindsay while she pulled the girls on the bike.  Kept going after dropping them off at the park at 2.5 miles.  Ran 6:30 or faster for the next 4 miles.  Finished off with a 5:56 mile beating lindsay home.  Felt the knee, but nothing too painful.

Asics.

Wow, you're running strong. Any chance we could get you down to Spanish Fork for a tempo run Saturday? TylerS and I are planning on doing a workout. I definitely need to get up there and do some workouts with you and Sasha soon. The trick will be keeping up with you.

I'll talk to the boss and see what, if any, plans we have on Sat. What time were you thinking of meeting?

Wow! You are fast Matt. Do you ever run much shorter than 10? Seems like you always log a pretty good run when your knee is feeling good. Great jobg.

Thanks Rhett. Nice running yourself! Ditto on finding it hard to stay motivated. Boston is the only thing, but that still feels like it is a ways off that I'm being too inconsistent with my runs. I don't want to stress the knee too much though either. As far as the 10 miles, that is pretty much my run. I feel if I do get out, I might as well run at least 10. . . I don't specialize my runs too much (probably should). anyhow, thanks for checking in and the encouragement!
