Running Accomplishments:

High school (in San Diego) I ran a 16:40 5k and a 4:33 mile.  Have run 11 marathons.

PR - Ogden 2009 - 2:55:10

Haven't done a 5k or 10k or half in a long time.  I just enjoy doing my regular daily runs and then hittin' the Marathons.  I might slip in some shorter/faster races this year.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Drop some more weight (get down to 150),  keep Pr'ing, and try to stay injury free.  Get a 2:46:42 or better in a marathon - I wanna beat Lance's PR!!

Get out on more trails around the valley and enjoy the scenery.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Focus on marathons and possibly ultras? Keep healthy and lean.

Personal:

Married with 2.95 girls.

10 Miles.  7:44/mile.  Only got about 5 hours of sleep.  I intended to go to bed earlier, but I ended up watching "No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain".  I love that show.  Then I started watching "Bizarre Foods", another favorite.  I should've just recorded them for later, but I am weak.

Good run.  Didn't feel too bad.  Ran for the first few miles in relative darkness (especially on the trail with the tree cover).  Ran to Provo high and ran a few miles around the track, and back for my usual 10.

Thanks for your good blogs. They help motivate me.

Thanks Paul. They motivate me too! Something about blogging makes me feel more committed and accountable; When your workouts are transparent, you don't want to disappoint. I just checked your blog and I think I should be motivated to put in more than my habitual 10 miles every day. Nice Mileage! I am a convert to many base aerobic miles and have seen a huge difference in performance by doing a lot of slow miles consistently. Anyhow, Thanks.

I've blogged sporadically on here over the past couple of years, enough to see that I've never really put in more than 3 or 4 runs a week, and never any decent mileage. I've decided to try to up my miles and consistency, noting you and some others who have made major improvements.
